Dialogue of Species Series

Dialogue of Species is an ongoing body of work that explores moments of shared attention between humans and animals. These encounters are quiet, often ambiguous, and intentionally free of narrative resolution. They do not illustrate harmony or conflict, nor do they assign symbolic meaning to the animals portrayed.

Each painting begins with observation. Meaning arises through posture, distance, gaze and silence rather than through explanation. Human and animal meet as individual presences, allowing the viewer to enter a space that remains open to interpretation.

Working in oil allows for a slow process of looking in which light, texture and atmosphere evolve gradually. The paintings ask for time rather than quick recognition, inviting viewers to experience attention itself as the central subject.
